Questions

What everyone asks.

Is my child's photo safe?

The photo is only used to generate your invitations and is deleted from our servers as soon as we deliver them. It's automatic and you get a message confirming it. We don't share it or use it for anything else.

What if I don't like any of the 4?

You get 4 different versions precisely so there's always one you'll love. If something's off, email us at hello@dearyou.ai and we'll fix it. Don't worry — you'll have truly unique invitations.

Are they really ready in 15 minutes?

Yes. As soon as you upload the photo and pick a universe, the assistant generates them right away. Usually it takes about 10 minutes; at peak times, up to 15.

Can I print them?

All 4 invitations (image + party details) are perfect for your phone, WhatsApp, and social. If you also want the image in top quality to print big or frame, you can add the 4K version for +£1.99 in the chat. The 4K version is your little one's image at maximum resolution (without the event text).

How do I pay?

Inside the chat a button opens a secure Stripe screen. You pay by card and, when you return, the assistant continues with your order. We never see your card details.

Does it work with dogs and cats?

Not yet, pets are coming very soon. Right now we make invitations and birthday cards for kids.

Do I need to install anything?

Nothing. Everything happens right here, chatting with the assistant. No apps, no accounts, no wasted time.

3 simple steps

  1. Tap “Create my invitation” and tell our assistantIt walks you through it. Just say the little one's name, their age, where the party is and the day and time. We write the wording. No forms.
  2. Describe the party in your own words and upload their photoThere's no list to pick from. Tell it what you want in one sentence, “a pirate party on the beach”, and that's what you get. Stuck for ideas? It suggests some. Their photo is required, not optional: they're the one starring in the invitation. And we always delete it after delivery. Promise.
  3. You get them in 15 minutes4 unique designs, vertical and ready to share. Pick your favourite and keep all four.

Go to any primary school Halloween disco and you'll find a small herd of unicorns among the witches. Lots of children want to be part of Halloween and have no interest whatsoever in being frightening. Fair enough.

These unicorn Halloween birthday invitations are made for them: pumpkins, bats and moonlight, and the unicorn left as gentle as ever. Six scene ideas below, then four designs with your child as the star, plus their name and age.

Why a unicorn belongs at a Halloween birthday

From about four to seven, plenty of children want in on the pumpkins and the dressing up and draw the line at anything with fangs. A unicorn with bat wings or a starry mane counts as Halloween, and it's still the soft toy they take to bed.

By Year 4 or 5 the glitter gets a bit embarrassing. A black unicorn under the moon is grown-up enough to show friends without anyone rolling their eyes.

If the birthday falls in October half term, send the invitations before the break. Once school's out, families scatter and nobody reads the class group chat.

Six scenes, and which child each suits

The unicorn with a boiled-sweet horn in a pumpkin patch is the sweetest one, a good fit for a five- or six-year-old whose party is really a table of sweets. The black unicorn with a starry mane under the moon suits the nine-year-old who'd like something a little darker. The unicorn with bat wings over a purple rainbow puts everything in at once, which is roughly what Reception children ask for.

The unicorn tamer on Halloween suits the nine-year-old who likes to be in charge, with the unicorn at her side and nothing frightening about it. The unicorn dressed as a ghost in the garden is the funny one, lovely for a four-year-old. And the unicorn ride through the orange-leaf forest is the most autumnal of the six, and a boy of seven will quietly like it more than he lets on.

None of them is compulsory. Tell us about the party in one sentence and we build the scene with your child in it, so we'll need their photo. And we always delete the photo after delivery. Promise.
