Refund Policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

The short version. Your invitations are made to order, so they cannot be cancelled once we have started. But if you do not like them, we do not leave you with them: write to us and we will do a fresh run until you have something you want to send.

1. What you are buying

DearYou invitations are personalised digital content, made to order from the photo and the details you give us. We begin producing them immediately after your payment is confirmed.

2. Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to goods or digital content that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised, nor to digital content you have agreed we can begin supplying straight away once you have acknowledged that you lose the right to cancel.

So when you confirm your order you agree that we start creating your invitations immediately, and that once we have started the 14-day right to cancel no longer applies.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content turns out to be faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality — see the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and section 3 below, which is how we put that right in practice.

3. Our satisfaction promise

Beyond all of the above, we want you to be happy with the result. So:

4. Payment errors and duplicate charges

If you are charged twice, or something goes wrong technically with the payment, write to hello@dearyou.ai and we will sort it out. Refunds for this reason are processed through Stripe, back to the payment method you used.

5. How to reach us

For anything about your order, write to hello@dearyou.ai telling us the date of the order and the contact detail you used. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
